Longest run to date! I only had some minor cramps in the stomach on the last 4 miles and no pain in hips. Probably because it was all trails. Morning long runs seem to go better. Em joined me for the last 10 miles and that was helpful. Thanks!
Who is up for joining me September 23?

I agree...morning long runs are always pain free. I think that has something to do with the fact that you haven't been walking around all day and you're well rested.
I have to strongly disagree with you guys. I HATE morning runs. I much prefer afternoon runs. I feel like morning runs are equivalent to kryptonite. I feel all weak, stiff, and slow in the morning.
I also tend to feel stiff and slow in the morning, but I have fewer stomach/intestine issues when I do the long runs in the morning. I find the stiffness goes away 40-50 mins into a long run, whereas the stomach issues get worse and worse. Eating all day and then running leads to trouble for me, and skipping lunch sucks. For runs under 10 miles running later isn't a problem.
Hey Dan! Monday was fun. Glad I could join you for the second half of your long run. It always helps mentally when you have someone to run with! Not sure yet about the 23rd. Haven't decided if I am going to do that 5K or not. I'll keep you posted.
Anyway, congratulations on doing this, and I'll see you on the 23rd for four loops around the HOLLOW (even though we'd be better served doing 20 miles on pavement).
