Snowy, shake-out run

I love to run in the snow, especially when it's still falling, so I couldn't pass up a second run last night (albeit short). Jessica and I ran out on the Branford Trolley Trail. There was about 4 inches of fresh powder on it. We ran out to the train tracks and back--about 2.5 miles.

Dinner. Stuffed butternut squash with steamed kale. Jess did a nice job with the stuffing.

Me, pre-run.

Jess, pre-run.

Thought I'd share these photos that I took this morning:

American Goldfinch

Downy Woodpecker

I need help ID'ing this bird. I think it's a White-throated Sparrow (juvenile? first winter?). The streaks are throwing me off.

Song Sparrow! Nice pictures. You take those with your phone?

Thanks! That's species #16 counted just in my backyard. Most all of them come to the feeders I put up. I took the pictures with Jess' Panasonic Lumix 8x Optical Zoom 14 Mega Pixels. It's a nice, little camera.
