Congrats on an excellent race, Ryan! Is that your Torrington Road Race PR? I also did the race and set my PR (nice weather!) Unfortunately, I didn't see you so I didn't realize that you and your brother were at the race until I saw your names in the results. It's good to see that the tick bite isn't holding you back. One question...where was Dan?

Thanks, Geoff! Yes, that's my TRR PR. My previous best came in the midst of marathon training in 2007--37:17--so I improved by 19 seconds. I'll take it. I haven't done a long run in a few weeks, as I was away for a bit this summer, but I plan to start running long again this weekend. The half in the fall sounds like a good goal race for me.
As I was crossing Water Street to the finish, I saw you and your signature visor at the top of that last hill. And I thought that time looked fast for you. Great race!
Speaking of Dan, I did a long run with him and Karolina 4th of July weekend, and I just emailed him about the fact that we missed him at the race. I don't know whether he's doing much running, but maybe he'll let us know...
Good luck on your training for the half, and thanks for posting.
Here is Dan...I didn't know/forgot about the Torrington Race. Oops. I just bought me a condo and have been settling in. Pain the ass and haven't felt like I've had much time to do anything other than work. I've been getting pretty out of shape but have done some biking. Karolina and I rode 150 miles in a weekend down to Kettletown State Park from Mansfield. I have been managing to get a couple runs in here and there, but nothing much. This heat is not exactly motivating. Please feel free to pressure me.
